Fleet Maintenance

Customized maintenance programs that keep your fleet running and your costs down.

Every hour a truck sits in the shop is an hour it is not earning revenue. At Sandi Auto & Truck, we build fleet maintenance programs designed to prevent breakdowns, extend vehicle life, and keep your total operating costs as low as possible. With 16+ years in business and 65+ years of combined technician experience, we understand what fleet operators need: reliable service, clear communication, and trucks that stay on the road.

Reduced Downtime

Scheduled maintenance catches problems early. A $200 belt replacement in the shop beats a $5,000 roadside breakdown with tow, lost productivity, and emergency repair costs.

Lower Total Cost

Fleets on structured PM programs spend 20-40% less on total maintenance costs compared to reactive, break-fix operations. Prevention is always cheaper than repair.

Extended Vehicle Life

Consistent maintenance extends the useful life of fleet vehicles by years. Properly maintained diesel engines routinely exceed 300,000-500,000 miles.

DOT Compliance

Stay ahead of FMCSA inspections and avoid costly violations. A clean CSA score protects your operating authority and insurance rates.

Fleet Services

Preventive Maintenance Programs

Customized PM schedules based on your vehicle types, mileage, duty cycles, and manufacturer specifications. We track service intervals so your drivers never miss an oil change, filter replacement, or inspection. PM programs are the single most effective way to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle life.

DOT Compliance & Annual Inspections

We perform FMCSA-required annual inspections and help you stay compliant with federal and state regulations. Our inspectors know what DOT officers look for and can identify issues before they become roadside violations or out-of-service orders.

Diesel Aftertreatment Service

Scheduled DPF cleaning, forced regeneration service, DEF system maintenance, and emissions system monitoring. Keeping your aftertreatment systems properly maintained prevents the derate and limp-mode situations that take trucks off the road.

Brake & Safety Systems

Commercial brake inspections, adjustments, and replacements including air brake systems, disc and drum brakes, slack adjusters, and brake chambers. We also service ABS systems, steering components, and suspension to keep your fleet safe and compliant.

Tire & Alignment Service

Tire inspections, rotations, and replacement tracking. We monitor tread depth and condition across your fleet and alert you when tires need attention — before a blowout or DOT violation puts a truck out of service.

Emergency & Priority Repairs

When a fleet vehicle breaks down, downtime costs money. Fleet customers receive priority scheduling for breakdowns and repairs. We diagnose quickly, communicate clearly on estimated repair time and cost, and get your truck back on the road as fast as possible.

Fleet Maintenance FAQ

How do you customize a PM program for my fleet?
We start by reviewing your fleet composition (vehicle types, ages, mileage), typical duty cycles (highway, city, mixed), and any manufacturer-specific maintenance requirements. We then build a schedule that covers oil and filter changes, fluid services, brake inspections, tire monitoring, aftertreatment service, and annual DOT inspections — all timed to minimize disruption to your operations.
What size fleet do you work with?
We work with fleets of all sizes, from small businesses with 3-5 vehicles to larger operations with 30+ trucks. Our approach scales to fit your needs. Whether you have a handful of pickup trucks or a mixed fleet of box trucks, vans, and heavy equipment, we can build a maintenance program that works.
How do you handle scheduling to minimize our downtime?
We work with your dispatch or fleet manager to schedule maintenance during off-hours or slow periods whenever possible. For larger fleets, we can rotate vehicles through the shop so you always have trucks available. Emergency and breakdown repairs receive same-day priority scheduling.
Do you provide maintenance records for DOT audits?
Yes. We maintain detailed service records for every vehicle in your fleet, including dates, mileage, work performed, and parts used. These records are available for DOT audits, insurance requirements, and your own fleet management purposes.
Can you service both gas and diesel fleet vehicles?
Absolutely. While diesel service is our specialty, we maintain gas-powered fleet vehicles as well — vans, pickups, cars, and SUVs. Your entire fleet can be serviced under one roof with one maintenance program.
What areas do you serve for fleet maintenance?
We serve fleets throughout the Chicagoland area. Our shop in Willow Springs is centrally located with easy access from I-55 and I-294, making it convenient for fleets operating in the western and southwestern suburbs as well as trucks running routes through the greater Chicago metro area.

Serving Willow Springs, Lemont, Burr Ridge, Hodgkins, Countryside, La Grange, Hickory Hills, Justice, Bridgeview, and the greater Chicagoland area.
